Apenberry's, Inc. was started in 1995 by two avid gardeners - Lisa and Eric Apen - as a place for people for who are passionate about their lives, their gardens and the things that make a house a "home."
It began with the Apen's personal frustration at not being able to locally purchase unique, high-quality home and garden accessories. The couple determined that Winter Park and Orlando needed a retail store for great home and garden products - a place where we could each "Cultivate our Garden Personality."

Lisa and Eric decided that nothing would be more fulfilling than to share their excitement for gardening with others. They had seen unique gardening products in the catalogs and at stores in cities like Atlanta, Birmingham and Charleston, but couldn't find them here.

After some detailed research, a lot of travel and a developed business plan, the Apenberry's concept was born. The couple spent many months and logged a lot of miles looking for the right location for their store. Early one morning, Lisa spotted a small bungalow on Fairbanks Avenue in Winter Park and knew she had found something special. And, on November 18th, 1995, Apenberry's was opened for business.

"We have learned so much since November 1995, and we still learn something new everyday." People continue to find us for the first time. There is hardly a day that goes by that someone doesn't stop in and say 'How long have you been here? I've been meaning to stop.' When we tell them almost five years they look at us like we are crazy, times does fly!

As for the future, we will keep growing, with new locations that move us a little closer to some of you who already drive more than just across town to visit us. We will continue to bring new and unique items for your homes and gardens that you have requested. We will continue to strive to offer you great service, the service you deserve. We will to continue to look forward to seeing you!
